Underwriter - Short-Term Insurance Industry (Pretoria)
A prominent financial services provider has an exciting career opportunity available for an experienced UNDERWRITER in SHORT TERM INSURANCE, to join their dynamic team in PRETORIA, GAUTENG.
This is a permanent position and office based, which offers a market related salary, including company benefits.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum matric with a tertiary qualification advantageous.
Minimum 5 to 7 years’ applicable working experience in the short-term insurance industry.
Relevant financial certification per RE5 qualification and 120 relevant credits are ESSENTIAL requirements to the role.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in insurance administration of personal and commercial products and services.
Proven experience and knowledge of insurance administration systems.
Strong and proven experience in underwriting of personal and commercial insurance portfolios.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver’s licence.
Meticulous with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Tenacious and driven, with the ability to multi-task.
Fully bi-lingual and eloquent in English and Afrikaans: speak read and write.
Computer literate.
Sound knowledge of policy wording, such as Multimark III or similar.
Compliant with the ability to successfully work under pressure.
Well-developed change-management abilities.
Trustworthy and ethical with a strong sense of accountability.
Professional and well-presented.
Own reliable transport.
